Keeping a record is very important

A floor level survey will be the one of the most important documents you will have should we have another earthquake. It can also identify structural issues.

 Why ?

Time and time again we see disputes about the house floor levels. It seems the parties involved can always find an engineer that can back up their claim. If we all had a floor level survey done on our property it eliminates this dispute saving you a lot of time and money. Yes houses settle over time due to natural ground movement but not by much.

This settlement will not be noticeable over your time in your home. It’s a slow process. What this means is that your floor level survey will stand up to any argument if someone is trying to prove that the floor levels are natural settlement or in other words ‘historical’.

There are people out there that know exactly what we mean. If you haven’t experienced the floor level dispute before, you do not want to. You will never have to experience it either once you have your levels recorded and on file.

Floor level surveys can also find underlying structural issues that could have been missed during previous earthquake assessments.

What you get

Once we arrive at your home we get straight to work on mapping your home to capture the overall footprint and dimensions of each room. After this we start on recorded your floor levels throughout your home.

We use a ZIPLEVEL PRO-2000 to record your floor levels. It’s the only instrument we believe that captures your levels with accuracy. Then we convert our findings to PDF file with an accompanying letter head and description including the date and time of the survey along with a picture of you home so it’s clear this is your home survey.
